FAQs
GENERAL CARE – Avoid chemicals around your jewelry. This includes cleaning agents, perfumes, body cream as they can alter the appearance of the metal. Store jewelry in the original box or bag with the anti tarnish tab (black square tab).
Will my sterling silver jewelry tarnish?
All fine metals tarnish over time including sterling silver. It’s essential to store your jewelry in a cool, dry area (not your bathroom) and to remove jewelry prior to showering, hot tubing, using a sauna, and swimming. It’s also recommended to remove your jewelry during outdoor activities such as gardening, biking, rock climbing, etc. If you’re unsure if an activity will tarnish or change the appearance of your jewelry, it’s best to take the jewelry off. Sometimes it’s our body chemistry that will cause an increased rate of tarnishing. If you wish to polish your jewelry, we recommend using warm soapy water and buffing with a scratch free cloth. Please note that some of my pieces are intentionally oxidized to bring out various textures and features. Jewelry cleaner and/or polishing will remove the intentional oxidation that accentuates certain features in the jewelry.
Will my copper jewelry tarnish?
Typically, copper does tarnish over time but my copper jewelry has been sealed with a protectant to prevent the beautiful patina from wearing off. This protectant also prevents tarnishing. Therefore, polishing is not required for my copper jewelry.
Is it handmade?
Yes! All my jewelry is hand fabricated and I only use sterling silver ear wires and posts. Since they’re handmade, they are one of a kind and unique in their own way. There may be some subtle differences between a pair of earrings but this is only because they are not made in a factory or mass produced. The item you receive may not be an EXACT replicate of what was on my product page. Embrace and appreciate their slight differences and the handmade process.
